Job Summary

This position works under the direction of the Trades Programming Manager. The Masonry Apprenticeship adjunct instructor will be responsible for providing technical instruction for students in the Brick Masonry Apprenticeship program.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

1. Create, facilitate, coordinate, and prepare lesson plans and hands-on labs utilizing current NCCER curriculum.
2. Identifying and securing the materials and tools needed prior to each class or hands-on lab.
3. Maintain class and lab areas after the completion of each class or lab.
4. Communication and presentation skills; must be comfortable presenting to small and large groups utilizing technical and electronic instruction devises such as a computer and projector.
5. Provide students with technical instruction in a safe, clean, and productive learning environment; maintain student records to include verification of attendance and competency completion.
6. Provides ADA accommodations as directed.
7. Follows course syllabi in determining student learning objectives.
8. Follow and support all College policies.
9. Other job duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

NCCER Certified Instructor rating.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualified applicant will have a Journeyman or equivalent substantial knowledge and experience, and a minimum of 6 years of industry experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

1. Competent in masonry (skills related to position).
2. Proficient in using computers, computer technology, and computer software related to position.
3. Demonstrated ability to work with individuals of all racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
