Job Summary

1. Teaches one or more Interior Design classes.

2. Reports pedagogical problems and classroom management issues to the Program director.

3. Student complaints and teacher absences should be reported to the director.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

1.Teaches one or more Interior design classes.

2.Utilize e-portfolio for the project.

3. Follows the course curriculum outline, prepares and delivers lectures. Guides other classroom activities.

4. Administers student evaluations.

5. Keeps accurate classroom records.

6. Coordinates Student ADA accommodation requests following college policy and procedures.

7. Answer student questions and provide necessary feedback on student progress.

8. Follows SLCC policies and procedures.

9. Keeps accurate classroom records.

10. Completes all required training.

11. Meets College and department deadlines and evaluates student work in a timely manner including submitting final grades on time.

Preferred Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

1. Must have at least a bachelor degree in Interior Design or 3 years’ of experience in the field of design.

2. Teaching experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Must be knowledgeable of Green & Sustainable design .

Special Instructions

As directed by SLCC Policy, Adjunct positions are semester by semester contract with no guarantee of continued employment.
