Job Summary

Assist the Head Baseball Coach with all aspects of a comprehensive, highly competitive baseball program. Assist with the organization as it relates to scheduling, travel, player development, camps. and monitoring the student-athletes.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Coordinate and assist in developing/administering successful baseball camps.
Under immediate supervision, perform standard tasks using established methods, principles, concepts and procedures related to professional and managerial issues specific to an assistant coach.
Other duties as may be assigned by the head baseball coach to develop, and coordinate a baseball program.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree preferred
1-4 years baseball coaching experience in a college setting preferred

Minimum Qualifications

0-2 years baseball coaching experience in a college setting
Civility and urbanity are essential attributes of the incumbent.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knows fundamental concepts, practices skills and procedures of assisting in a comprehensive, highly competitive community college athletic program.

Knowledge of baseball rules, skills, techniques, strategies at the intercollegiate level
Well-versed in NJCAA/Region 18 policies and procedure.
Knowledge in administrative, managerial concepts and practices of an assistant coach on a college level.

Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities and special needs.
