Job Summary

Provide quality tutoring, primarily in mathematics and science, to Trio participants while mentoring their development of effective student skills (i.e. note-taking, test preparation, time management, etc.) This may include assisting with class-related technology such as online homework and eportfolios.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Provide quality tutoring in mathematics and sciences. Submit required paperwork such as logs and time sheets in a timely manner.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school graduation or equivalent.
Qualified tutors will need to have earned a B or better in the courses they wish to provide tutoring and have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale

assist in creating learning environments based on respect, understanding, and trust for those seeking learning support
submit accurate and timely payroll

Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities and special needs.
