This Work-study position is half-time or less. Work-study is awarded to SLCC students through the Federal College Work-Study program, which requires establishing financial need through the FAFSA application from the Financial Aid Office. Job Summary

The successful candidate will work with the Performing Arts faculty to coordinate and conduct marketing and outreach within the college and the community.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Student will work the SLCC Theatre, dance, and music programs to communicate with schools, community partners, and media outlets for outreach programming, and conduct other performing arts related marketing tasks.
Employee will distribute performing arts posters around campuses and the community, and work box office for performing arts events.

Preferred Qualifications

Performing arts, marketing, or journalism student with marketing experience preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

Student of Salt Lake Community College and awarded Work Study.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Good oral and written communication skills, ability to work with others collaboratively, ability to resolve conflicts and/or solve problems.
Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities and special needs.
