Job Summary

Tool room attendant will be responsible for the distribution and organization of tools to Faculty and Students of the Aviation maintenance program at the airport campus.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

1. Managing tools from department toolboxes and tool cabinets. 2.Attendant will be keep a log of tools dispersed and return of tools by students and faculty. 3.Perform minor maintenance of basic hand tools and specialty tools
4. Maintain cleanliness of tool room area and working organization.
5. Research parts and vendors for ordering parts.
6. Be willing to work assigned work shift times and hours.
7. Willing to accomplish other duties as assigned by faculty and Staff

Preferred Qualifications

1. Possess above average organizational skills.
2. Be able to work the hours of
a. 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
b. 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm
c. 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm
3. Read and understand English
4. Able to navigate internet
5. Good handwriting

Minimum Qualifications

1. Possess organizational skills
2. Able to work 10 hours per week
3. Read and understand English
4. Good hand writing
5. Must be able to pass a background check and conform to TSA badging requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Good computer skills, good hand writing, good comprehension.

Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities and special needs.

Non-Essential Responsibilities and Duties

1. Dumping trash cans, sweeping and cleaning labs, assisting Faculty and Staff with class work assignments.
2. Willing to accomplish other duties as assigned by faculty and Staff

Work-study is awarded to SLCC students through the Federal College Work-Study program, which requires establishing financial need through the FAFSA application from the Financial Aid Office. If you do not have work-study awarded to you, you will not be eligible for work under work-study positions.

Salt Lake Community College may complete a criminal background check on the finalist.
