Job Summary

Sports Information Assistant, reports to the Sports Information Director.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Reports to the Sports Information Director. Overall responsibilities would consist of but not limited to: assist in game management for SLCC Athletics events, assist the SID in press releases, video, social media outlets related to all SLCC athletics programs. Other duties as needed by the department of athletics.

Prefer applicants has automobile for on-campus use. Prefer availability for all SLCC Athletics fall and winter home events; other hours are flexible.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be approved for Work Study.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Awareness and knowledge of all SLCC athletic programs-volleyball, soccer, baseball, softball, and basketball. Computer knowledge, commentary skills, and the ability to input information in a high paced environment. Able to follow directions, work well with various departmental personnel.

Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities and special needs.

Work Study is awarded to SLCC students through the Federal College Work Study program, which requires establishing financial need through the FAFSA application from the Financial Aid Office. If you do not have work study awarded to you, you will not be eligible for work under work study positions.

Salt Lake Community College may complete a criminal background check on the finalist.
