Job Summary

Applicant will need to have excellent written communication skills. Applicant will screen paperwork for errors, and then do data entry for that specific paperwork.

Applicant will ensure an update of the Care about Child Care Criteria completed annually, and demographics, billing, background screenings, and annual health assessments are completed weekly.

Applicant will pre-approve lesson plans that with against the check list, and do other types of duties as assigned.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

An applicant will need to be able to manage office affairs and support the Child Care Manager. Applicant will need strong typing skills, and customer service skills. Applicant will need to be available for licensing support that may include some house cleaning responsibilities, as it is essential to strict licensing standards. Maintaining child records, immunization records, and licensing records are mandatory.

Applicant will need to support our accreditation process by reading criteria, examining evidence and documenting evidence via portfolios. The candidate must have a friendly and professional demeanor. They need to be detail oriented, and organized while also being flexible. Applicant should be comfortable with multi-tasking, and also able to respond to the needs of children, if necessary.

Familiarity with Excel.

Minimum Qualifications

Must pass BCI Federal Background Check
Must speak and read English fluently.
Knowledge of Word, Excel, and computer literate.
Applicant must pass a TB test.
Applicant must pass a be able to lift children, get on children’s level,
Applicant must pass a basic physical.

Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities and special needs.

Work Study is awarded to SLCC students through the Federal College Work Study program, which requires establishing financial need through the FAFSA application from the Financial Aid Office. If you do not have work study awarded to you, you will not be eligible for work under work study positions.Applicant will need to pass a background check as per requirement of the Bureau of Child Care licensing.

Applicant will need to pass a TB Test, and a basic physical.

Applicant will need to be able to lift, bend, and sit on level with the children. (Although this will not be the primary function).

Salt Lake Community College may complete a criminal background check on the finalist.
