Job Summary

Works with administrators, support staff, and faculty in the College to plan and execute activities, projects and initiatives that align with the strategic priorities of the School of Business and Salt Lake Community College. Provides site coordination of training activities, and monitors training with on-site review, as needed.

Provides support to the School of Business Curriculum Technician by reviewing curriculum change documentation, ensuring all is accurate, reflects appropriate attention to detail, and is ready for submission through the review process and approval process.

Prepares and distributes monthly School of Business Newsletter. Maintains School of Business website to ensure it is current. Maintains information in display cases and bulletin boards throughout the Business Building; prepares marketing materials for School of Business.

Coordinates initiatives in the School of Business. Maintains and updates tracking documents that reflect the goals and projects in the School of Business. Generates reports to assist with the School’s decision-making process.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Supports administrators, staff and faculty in the College to plan and execute activities, projects and initiatives that align with strategic priorities of the School of Business and Salt Lake Community College. Provides site coordination of training activities, and monitors training with on-site review, as needed.

Provide support for the School of Business Curriculum Technician.

Prepares budget summary documents and other documents related to department budgets.

Prepares and distributes monthly School of Business Newsletter.

Provides support for the technical review of curriculum change documentation, ensuring all is accurate, reflects appropriate attention to detail, and is ready for submission through the review and approval process.

Maintains School of Business website to ensure it is current. Maintain information in display cases and bulletin boards throughout the Business Building; prepare marketing materials for School of Business.

Coordinates initiatives in the School of Business that maintain and update tracking documents that reflect the goals and projects in the School of Business. Generate reports to assist with the School’s decision-making process.

Coordinates activities related to the School of Business Jam Session at end of each semester and track class section enrollment data throughout the semester.

Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum Qualifications

Associates degree required

Two (2) to four (4) years of direct, paid, full-time work experience.

Work experience/education may be substituted on a 1:1 basis.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Working knowledge (displaying/printing reports) of the SLCC Banner financial system.

Experience working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and databases (Access or other).

Experience with auditing training files in preparation for audit reviews.

Knowledge of accreditation process.

Experience preparing budgetary summary documents, calendar events and website maintenance.

Ability to multi-task and coordinate activities with administrators, staff and faculty.

Maintain information on display throughout Business Building.

Strong keyboarding skills and customer service skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities.
