Job Summary

Writing Fellows will tutor students enrolled in Online Plus English 1010 in one-to-one and small group settings. Writing Fellows work closely with Online Plus English 1010 instructors in conducting tutorial sessions.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

a. Tutor Online Plus English 1010 students in course materials
b. Give feedback to Online Plus English 1010 students
c. Attend regular meetings with Online Plus instructors
d. Attend pre-semester orientation
e. Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

Successful completion of or enrollment in English 1810: Mentoring Writers. Currently enrolled in or recently completed Online Plus version of English 2010.

Minimum Qualifications

a. Successful completion Online Plus English 1010
b. 2.0 cumulative GPA

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of Online Plus English 1010 assignments. Ability to communicate effectively and work closely with other students.

Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities and special needs.
