Job Summary

Responsible for supporting various Student Life and Leadership programs and assisting professional staff in preparing and implementing those programs. Responsible for assisting students in planning and scheduling of programs and spaces utilizing SLCCSync/OrgSync and EMS. Responsible for understanding SLCCSync and training others in its use. Responsible for creating and maintaining working relationships with other college personnel, offices, departments, and community

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Assist staff in preparing and implementing programs
Schedule SLCCSA leadership and club programs on EMS from approved SLCCSync requests.
Understand and teach others how to use SLCCSync
Assist student leaders in planning programs under supervision of full-time staff.
Travel between offices to support preparation and implementation of programs or to manage office when needed.
Coordinate with Student Center staff with scheduling and set up of events.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s degree
Two years experience in a higher education setting
Valid Utah Driver’s License
Ability to meet State of Utah HOV requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Able to absorb rapidly changing information and apply it effectively.
• Must be able to plan, schedule and complete tasks with little supervision
• Maintain flexibility and work effectively in a chaotic and fluid work environment.
• Ability to drive between different SLL offices to complete work as needed.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
• Ability to grow, take direction, and work independently
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to organize time effectively.
• Ability to communicate College policies and procedures effectively and diplomatically.
• Must have intermediate computer skills in word processing, use of the Internet and software programs, and ability to learn new programs and use them effectively.
• Knowledge of SLCCSync/OrgSync and Event Management System.
• Demonstrated effective customer service skills and commitment to customer service.
• Ability to collect, organize and analyze information.
• Ability to work as a team player with all levels in the College and ability to work independently as well.
• Self-motivated, flexible, and dependable.
