Job Summary

Assist Registration Appeal Specialist with scanning, data entry, filing, and tracking Registration Appeals.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Sort, file, image, index, and shred college documents and appeal documentation. Enter appeal data into Excel spreadsheet, assist Registration Appeals Specialist in preparing reports.

Respect and keep confidentiality in relation to our student records.
Must be detail oriented, self motivated and be able to complete tasks and be able to complete tasks with minimal supervision. Must be reliable and dependable.

Preferred Qualifications

Comfortable with Excel and learning new computer programs.

Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Basic knowledge of computers and able to use a keyboard efficiently.
Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Experience with Nolij system is preferred.
Ability to learn new programs and remember details.
Works well with minimal supervision.
File, sort and shred documents.
Civility and urbanity are essential attributes.

Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities and special needs.

Special Instructions

Work-study is awarded to SLCC students through the Federal College Work-Study program, which requires establishing financial need through the FAFSA application from the Financial Aid Office. If you do not have work-study awarded to you, you will not be eligible for work-study positions. Applicant must be able to work between 15 to 20 hours a week.
Flexible schedule between 8:00 pm – 4:30 pm.

Salt Lake Community College may complete a criminal background check on the finalist.
