Job Summary

In class Lab assistant for Engineering 1600, Engineering the Guitar.

Classes are held Monday from 1:30 to 4:30 and Wednesday from 5:30 to 8:30.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Working with students in the assembly of guitars.
Helping in setting up demonstrations
Helping students with setting up for presentations.
Keeping tools organized and in good condition.
Clean up of work shop at the end of class and keeping the storage closet organized.

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge of guitar construction.
Knowledge of work shop safety and tool use.

Must be organized, dependable, adaptable, and detail oriented.

Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Must be able to work as part of a team.
Must have strong time management and problem solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
