Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director, Scheduling and Academic Support Services and in conjunction with a variety of College offices and departments ensure accuracy and consistency of the SLCC General Catalog, DegreeWorks and related resources. Provide training college-wide on the use of these resources to support students. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Coordinate with the Curriculum & Articulation Office on catalog content of curricular documents.
• Monitor and maintain accurate program, subject, and course information in Banner.
• Work with academic affairs and student affairs offices to ensure that all course and program information in Banner, Acalog, DegreeWorks and other systems is current and accurate.
• Oversee and assist in the creation of the yearly General Catalog, including Graduation Maps; monitor to ensure no unauthorized changes are made.
• Responsible for DegreeWorks programming.
• Responsible for coding of requisites; both pre-requisites and co-requisites.
• Provide reports on programs, courses, and exceptions as needed using data analysis.
• Create and maintain definitions for relevant concepts in a data dictionary.
• Participate on assigned curricular committees.
• Supervise catalog, program exceptions and DegreeWorks staff. Conduct hiring, training, and evaluations.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Maintain accurate course and program information in Banner, Acalog, DegreeWorks and other systems. Oversee the yearly General Catalog production. Complete DegreeWorks programming.
Monitor software for issues, enhancements and upgrades, submit service requests and coordinate with stakeholders; including IT.

Serve on appropriate committees; including Curriculum Committees and Student Banner Group.
Conduct analysis and generate reports to maintain data integrity and make informed decisions. Maintain appropriate sections of the data dictionary.
Manage personnel and budgets
Identify, prepare and conduct training as needed for all users.
Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

Experience maintaining a database of mission-critical information.
Experience with General Education and CTE curriculum.
Experience with college catalog production.
Experience with degree audit systems.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree
Two (2) to Four (4) years direct, higher education full-time related paid work experience.
Demonstrated success working with faculty, staff and administrators.
Excellent communication skills.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of SLCC college policies and procedures.
Knowledge of curriculum and catalog processes.
Knowledge of academic program structure and requirements.
Ability to maintain large amounts of data on mission critical program and course information.
Ability to maintain accurate and detailed information.
Ability to prioritize and successfully maintain multiple projects with overlapping deadlines.
Ability to work successfully with faculty, administrators and staff in individual and group settings.
Demonstrated success building and maintaining excellent interpersonal relationships.
