Job Summary

The eLearning State Authorization Coordinator investigates, secures, and maintains applicable authorization of online academic programs as well as authorizations relating to the matriculation, continuation, or denial of students nationwide and internationally to enroll in online courses and programs.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

• Research, analyze, summarize and present information regarding the requirement for state authorization and accreditation compliance
• Document and maintain compliance forms, applications, and other paperwork accurately.
• Develop and maintain recordkeeping systems for all documents, requirements, schedules, and activities relating to authorizations.
• Gather and analyze research, such as statutes, decisions, and legal articles, codes and documents as requested or required.
• Advise director of changes in compliance policies and suggests corrective action to maintain compliance/licensure in all states.
• Act as liaison between institution and state regulation offices
• Communication clearly with administration on key compliance components.
• When necessary, travels to multiple College campuses to perform responsibilities
• Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

Two (2) or more years of direct, full-time, directly related, paid work.
Experience in higher education.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree
One year of full-time, directly related, paid work experience

• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and analytical skills.

• Highly-developed research skills
• Ability to work independently with limited direction
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Skill in documentation of time, effort, processes
• Fluency and comfort in the use of technology in everyday life
• Fluency in navigating the web and using web-based tools to facilitate work, learning, collaboration, productivity, research, etc.
• Fluency in using popular productivity software (MS Office suite or equivalent) on either Windows or Mac operating systems
•Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities and special needs.
